Injury Assessment and Treatment

Whether you strained something at the gym, have been struggling through your latest routine and not sure why, or are dealing with something more traumatic that is limiting your ability to perform daily activities, let’s meet and assess to get you on a healing pathway so that you can be moving pain free and back to what you enjoy. (Treatment can include but is not limited to: manual therapy, modalities, and exercise instruction/progression/correction with Assessment for Injury Prevention for Future).

Programs can include trips to your fitness center or workout area to make sure you are performing everything correctly (and to look for aggravating factors!).

General Strength and Conditioning Program

Even if you’re not injured, physical therapy can be helpful in preventing future problems, especially if you are going to be training or trying something new or have some goals that you are progressing to. I’d love to meet and discuss what is important to you and how to get you there safely.

Dr. Tracy Karas has been my physical therapist for almost 6 years. I started seeing her when I fell and broke my hip and needed a total hip replacement. Because I also have fibromyalgia, my muscles were deconditioned so it was slow going. Tracy was very encouraging and helped me overcome the fear I had of hurting more. My one goal was to be able to walk without a limp and with her help, I made it! Tracy was good at listening to my concerns and adjusted the therapy as we went along. I was able to increase my flexibility and endurance and eventually my strength. Her expertise in the types of activities, stretches, exercises and modalities that were best for me was extraordinary. I went to her for my hip but my whole body benefited.
I am again working with Tracy on some of my ongoing fibromyalgia and digestion issues. I enjoy working with her because of her warm and caring attitude. She is able to pinpoint my problem areas so accurately all the time.
If you are looking for a physical therapist, I would absolutely recommend Tracy Karas.

I have had the pleasure of working with Tracy to address a variety of injuries over the past 7 years. Tracy is always warm and welcoming, understanding of my clumsiness that has led me to seek her services in the first place, and is always willing to work with me to help me achieve my goals for my recovery. One of the things I appreciate most about Tracy is how she individualizes care for every patient that she works with. She really cares about her patients and wants to see them succeed both in the short term and in the long. During treatment sessions, Tracy always keeps me working as well as laughing. I appreciate not only the support in the in the moment work but that she sends me home with exercises to further support my healing and recovery. Although it is usually something unfortunate that brings me to work with Tracy, working with her is always a pleasure and I am so grateful for the health and healing she has brought to my life.

I have been working with Tracy on and off for the past 15 years. She has helped me with everything from headaches, a meniscus strain, shoulder tendonitis to a sprained ankle, literally head to toe. Tracy always seems to know just the spot that needs the attention. Over the years I have referred my daughter and my mom to her as well. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for a physical therapist that is very knowledgeable and that cares about you.
